Savour every sip: a journey of flavour exploration

The concept of Atelier Coupette is based on a tried and tested platform, 'Sunday Development Sessions' first introduced by our sister venue Coupette in Bethnal Green. All Atelier Coupette drinks are served as small "smaller-sized" drinks, a decision as functional as it is whimsical! In doing this, we allow our guests the opportunity to try more, to discover more. And, the teeny, tiny glassware is of course very cute...

Crafting sustainability: artistry in every Sip

At Atelier Coupette, sustainability defines us. Our cocktail bar and restaurant in London transforms into an artistic haven where every drink and dish is a sustainable masterpiece.

 

From the tart Rhubarb & Custard to the earthy Mushroom Punch, innovative ingredients shine. Homemade carrot wine elevates the Turbo Carrot Spritz, while fermented mandarins brighten the Mandarin Margarita. Our evolving menu ensures each visit is a creative journey, with every sip telling a story of craftsmanship.

Introducing: Nouvelle-Inspired Cuisine

At Atelier Coupette, our cooking style is called 'Nouvelle Cuisine'. This emerged in the late 20th Century, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s, as a reaction against the traditional and often heavy French cuisine that dominated fine dining at the time. Nouvelle Cuisine is characterised as having more emphasis on lighter, more minimalist presentation and emphasis on high-quality ingredients.

  • Smaller Portions & Minimalist Perfection:  We focus on smaller, more refined portions, shifting the emphasis from quantity to quality. We present these dishes in an often more artistic and visually appealing way, avoiding heavy sauces or elaborate garnishes.  

  • Fresh Ingredients & Lighter Sauces: Fresh, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients are central to this style. Our goal is to let flavours shine through, without rich heavy sauces shadowing the dish.

  • Health & Innovation: We use new cooking techniques, such as sous-vide and experiment with unconventional combinations of ingredients, all while remaining health conscious & reducing unnecessary fats and sugars.

A Peak at the Menu

The French-inflected small plates at Atelier Coupette can be seen as a standalone offering that also perfectly complements the drinks menu. Inspired by French Nouvelle Cuisine that was all the rage in London in the 60s and 70s, Atelier Coupette has given this style a 2023 makeover and offers small, light and refined small plates. Elegant and simple plating, seasonal ingredients and creative flair all go towards making Atelier Coupette’s food concept an unusual one within the bar scene
